100% professional throughout the entire process.

My husband and I were in the process of selling our home but our roof desperately needed replacing. We acquired a few estimates one from BTR Roofing, the other from Allstate Roofing.
BTR roofing responded to our request for an estimate promptly, spoke with me personally regarding the condition of our roof, provided samples of shingle colors (with maps and addresses of homes to view), and they were 100% professional throughout the entire process.

Allstate Roofing took a few days longer to respond to our request for an estimate. The estimate they provided was not as detailed as BTR’s and the level of professionalism was nonexistent. Prior to us accepting Allstate’s estimate, they were cordial, offered discounts and were constantly calling.

Both roofing companies stated that it would take no more than 2 days to complete the job.

Allstate’s price was considerably lower than BTR’s. with us selling our house, we did not want to incur a large expense. This is the only reason we decided to use Allstate Roofing, which would prove later to be the wrong decision.

Our roof was to be started on the morning of Friday, January 5th but they did not show up until the afternoon of Saturday, January 6th. They removed most of the shingles on the first day but did not cover all of our roof. At 5:30 am on Monday, January 8th, my husband and I woke up to rain drops coming through our roof. We had to go outside in the rain and attempt to cover the exposed portion of our roof. We called Allstate Roofing immediately and left a voice mail. They called us back that afternoon to apologize and said they would send someone out to take care of the roof. Our roof, and damage caused to our ceiling, was finally finished on Thursday, January 11th.

It was virtually impossible to catch up with Allstate Roofing, every time we called their number, we received voice mail and it was at least 2 – 3 hours before we would receive a call back. We have learned that the phrase “you get what you pay for” is so true.

Here are a few tips:

Always ask for and investigate company references

Never use a company whose workers are subcontracted

The level of professionalism is usually an indicator as to how they conduct business

Cost should not be the determining factor

If we ever need any of the services that BTR Roofing provides, we are going to call on them.
